More celebrities are leaving and losing their homes as wildfires continue to destroy Los Angeles. Kim, Courtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, along with Kendall, Kylie, and Kris Jenner, have all evacuated their homes after receiving an evacuation order as the Kenneth fire began burning across a thousand acres northeast of Calabasas, California. Despite leaving the area, the Kardashians still gave back to their community by donating meals from the famous Carousel Restaurant to several fire stations across Los Angeles.
Britney Spears revealed on Instagram that she fled her $7.4 million Thousand Oaks mansion due to nearby blazes. However, a source told Page Six that her home was safe as of Friday, January 10th. Tom Hanks’s $26 million home in the Pacific Palisades is still standing, as footage obtained by Page Six shows it narrowly avoiding the flames.
According to People, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened their $4 million Montecito mansion to friends and family in need. Their home, about 90 miles north of LA, is not currently under threat of evacuation. Mel Gibson’s $14.5 million Malibu mansion burned down while he was in Austin, Texas, filming Joe Rogan's podcast.
Other celebrities got emotional discussing the destruction caused by the blaze. In an interview with CBS News, Milo Ventimiglia said he felt heavy seeing the remains of his Malibu home. Jenny G also got emotional on Instagram as she spoke about evacuating her Los Angeles home to stay with her ex-husband, Peter Fanelli. She mentioned that she and her family, along with their home, are safe.
Some celebrities are choosing to lend a helping hand during these difficult times. Jennifer Garner was spotted volunteering with a local relief organization to help feed firefighters and victims of the fire. Halle Berry shared on Instagram that she’s packing up her entire closet and donating it to a local boutique serving as a fire relief pop-up.
